Balloon Birthday Card

I created a stencil for the balloons in this card, cutting them out of various colours. I sellotaped the string onto the back of the balloons and tied it round the front of each one. To place them on the card I used foam squares raised at different heights to create a more 3D effect. I used a piece of tracing paper to write on, so that the string can still be seen behind. attaching this with two coloured drawing pins. I sellotaped the ends of the string onto the back of the card, ensuring they were kept parallel and covered this with a tall insert.

Scrabble Birthday Card

For this card I printed off the scrabble board from searching for it on Google. I raised the letters off the page using foam squares to give a better effect of scrabble tiles. I tried to find a background colour (blue) close to the colour of the lighter tiles, either the pink or blue. I found that the closest colour I had was blue, so I used this to highlight the background scrabble board. You can easily change the letters around to say any message.
