This was a trial using ribbon to make an Easter egg card. I cut the egg shape out of card, and wrapped layers of ribbon around it, gluing it heavily on the back but also lightly on the front, I needed a lot of glue to secure the egg onto the backing card, and therefore a thick insert was necessary inside the card. I would advise using the thickest backing card you have to hand, whilst remembering that the ribbon will show the card colour through it.
